Handleless cookware or pots and pans (those with removable or detachable handles) are space-saving pots and pans. If you live in the city and/or you have a small kitchen like me, space is a premium. So when I moved to our new apartment in Madrid, I was looking for a set of pots and pans that were space-saving. Fortunately, I found this set that was not only space-saving, but because of its removable handles, could go from stove to oven and stove to table.
My Tefal Ingenio handleless pots and pans set was quite affordable for the number of pans it gave me. My set came with eight pans, two plastic lids (for storing), two stainless steel lids with holes for cooking, two removable handles, and a set of spatulas. I can’t give enough praises for this Tefal Ingenio set. As I said, it goes from stove to oven and stove to table. I’ve cooked steak in it on the stove for searing, removed the handle, put it in the oven, and thereafter, serve it on the table. Everytime I cook rice (and I cook a lot because I’m Asian), I just put the plastic lid so I can store it in the refrigerator after. It takes up a really small space in my kitchen.
Their lids are also amazing. It has holes in it so when you’re boiling soup or making a rice, the water doesn’t overflow to the stove but actually comes up through those holes. The removable handles fit each and every pan. The plastic lids make your pans serve as “tupperwares” for easy storage of food in the refrigerator. The stove to oven feature makes these baking pans as well. The stove to table feature makes them serving pans too!
Granted, it’s not Le Creuset. So after three months of daily use, you can see some scratches on the outer layer, even if I handwash them. I attribute it to my husband using stainless steel cutlery to get food from it (when I serve the food straight from the stove to the table). I use these pot and pan protectors during storage to avoid scratching the Teflon.

But hey, for the price of this handleless pot and pan set (which is the price of a single Le Creuset pan – which they say would last you forever), I don’t mind. I can easily buy replacement ones if I need to. You still can’t beat the space it saves, the ease of going from stove to oven, and from stove or oven to table.
