Magnetic Tiles: Non-Electronic Toy for your toddler That Sparks Creativity and Engineering

Magnetic tiles spur your child’s creativity and develops engineering skills for your toddler. Magnetic tiles makes them learn and discover how to build things on a 3D basis with foundation to make sure their construction won’t collapse.

As a parent, you’re always trying to look for toys that can provide endless entertainment to your child and, at the same time, stimulate his creativity. If he can play with it for hours without bothering you, that’s a win. If it’s non-electronic, it’s a double win. And if it’s virtually indestructible, it’s a triple win.

One such toy is the magnetic tile set. They have different brands, such as the Magnatiles and Piccaso tiles. But theses brands are very expensive. I also like to watch my budget so I initially bought a small magnetic building tile set for my son, similar to this:

When buying toys, I want to see first whether my son will like it. I buy a small sample, and if I see that he likes it, I buy a bigger set. This set of magnetic tiles has sparked my son’s creativity. At first, he was simply linking the squares flat on the surface. I showed him how to make a 3D square, and soon, he was building several 3D squares. He only had a few magnetic tiles to play with, and I knew, if I wanted him to build bigger things, he needed more magnetic tiles. So just this Christmas, I bought him more magnetic tiles with wheels.

My son loves cars, so this was a real win! He started building cars, trucks (as he would call it), and buses. He started building houses, but he loved cars more, so he would build a car with a house. These tiles are virtually indestructible. My son loves to throw toys. He loves to dismantle toys to see how they work. We’ve bought several toys, both expensive and non-expensive, that didn’t even last a week.

These tiles can’t be dismantled or destroyed in that sense. They’re building blocks, like Lego Duplo. My son can throw them, step on them, try to pick it apart, but he can’t destroy them. So my son plays with these or Lego Duplo on a daily basis. It stimulates his creativity. Without him knowing it, he is learning engineering at the same time, because he is learning whether something that he builds has enough foundation to actually stand, and if it doesn’t, then why.

So if you’re looking for a toy for your child, give this magnetic tile building set a try.
