Mr. Coffee Espresso Maker: How to save on Coffee Expenses when Working from home

Mr. Coffee Espresso and Cappuccino Maker

Mr. Coffee Espresso and Cappuccino Machine keeps our coffee expenses low. It makes great quality coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, and frappes, all in the comfort of your own home.

Most of us can’t start our day without a cup of coffee. At times (or most of the time), we’re always tempted to jaunt off to the nearest Starbucks (or our favorite coffee shop) just to get coffee. These few dollars daily can add up. But what if I told you that you could get coffee shop-quality coffee right in your own home?

Yes, you can with this nifty little coffee machine that I discovered. Here, in Europe, the machine is marketed under Breville or Oster as Prima Latte. In the US, it’s called Mr. Coffee One Touch Coffee House and Espresso Maker and Cappuccino Machine. It’s the same machine though.

I was looking for an affordable cappuccino maker where I didn’t have to manually froth the milk. A lot of the good brands were really expensive. The cheapest brand I could find had some good and some bad reviews. Ultimately, I ended up with the Mr. Coffee Espresso and Cappuccino Maker, which I totally love. We’ve been using it daily twice a day for the past three months, and so far, it is still working. It makes coffee twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon for my husband and me. In fact, it can even make hot chocolate if you just use the milk part and add chocolate syrup. You can make caramel macchiato by adding caramel syrup. You can make mocha frappuccino by adding chocolate syrup and putting it on ice.

The Mr. Coffee Espresso and Cappuccino Maker has preset buttons for cappuccino and espresso. However, you can manually make your own coffee the way you like it because there is a function that allows you to control how much milk or how much coffee you want. This is what I use all the time since I find that you need a particular type of cup with a designated capacity for the preset buttons.

It comes with a coffee scoop and tamp, two coffee filters, and a reservoir for both water and milk. The milk reservoir can be easily taken in and out and placed in the refrigerator. This is what I do since I drink cappuccino in the morning so I don’t have to be bothered with cleaning the milk reservoir daily. I simply fill out the milk reservoir to the max limit, and put it in the refrigerator. I insert it in the coffee machine when I need to use it and put it back in the refrigerator after. I only clean it once I finish the maxed out milk. I did find the coffee a little bit weak, so I bought another coffee filter, which immediately solved my problem and made my great coffee taste even better.

There is a cheaper version of the Mr. Coffee Espresso and Cappuccino Maker, which was the first generation coffee machine.

Now, my husband and I don’t even have to go out to enjoy coffee-shop quality coffee. We can enjoy it at home and save our hard-earned money for other things. There might have been an initial outlay of a few hundred dollars, but if you compute how much we would’ve spent if we got our daily dose of coffee in Starbucks, we would’ve gotten our investment back in a few months. Here’s a video for some live action adventure of seeing coffee being made with the Mr. Coffee Espresso and Cappuccino Machine.
