Honey Blue Cheese Pizza

Honey blue cheese pizza is something my family eats for dinner on a regular basis. In our household, lunch is heavy, while dinner is light. I don’t like sleeping with a full stomach because I’m not able to burn off the calories anymore.

Pizza is one type of food that our whole family can eat. My toddlers can eat pizza, and we, the parents, can eat pizza as well. It’s also so easy to prepare.

Since I’m a mom, I don’t even bother with making my own crust when you can just buy them from the grocery store. I like preparing something quick and easy, and time is an expensive resource for a working mom like me. When my son says, “I like pizza,” I want to be able to have it on the table in 15 minutes.

There are two types of pizza crusts that I buy. The first type is the parbaked pizza crust, which has already been previously baked. It takes a shorter time to cook and it’s cheaper. The second type is the unbaked pizza crust. I have to unroll it for baking and it’s more expensive. Here, I used the parbaked pizza crust, so it took me only five minutes of cooking time.

Most of the ingredients here are my pantry essentials, so I make this pizza quite often. I always have packs of shredded mozzarella cheese in my refrigerator for quick and easy pizza dinners. I also keep in stock apples because my children eat it for a snack. Honey is a staple in my pantry because of the many dishes I can make with it. I have a jar of walnuts that’s always filled because my husband eats it as a healthy snack too. And believe it or not, I always have stock of blue cheese just in case I have unexpected visitors and I need to prepare a small charcuterie platter of different cheeses and cold cuts.

This is one of my husband’s favorite pizza dinners. The honey cuts on the strong taste of blue cheese, creating a balanced flavor profile. I hope you like it!
